Moor Environment Forum

The forum consists of local residents, environmental organisations, schools, youth groups, earlyyears groups and community groups from the Moor District Electoral Area.

The aims of the forum:

  • Identify environmental issues in the Moor
  • Share resources, tools, materials and knowledge to tackle issues raised
  • Provide members with assistance when writing funding applications for environmental projects
  • Citizen science and biodiversity monitoring

An example of how the Moor Environment Forum can help is the community garden at West End Park. Residents approached us for help to fix up their allotments, create a social space, nature mural and improve biodiversity. Below is a picture of the wall overlooking the new social space after the nature mural was created. Thanks so much to Mary Scally, residents, our artist Sheila and Tar Abhaile for their help.

If you have a patch of land, school garden or community garden you would like transformed for the community and wildlife let us know!

Anyone can join the forum and membership is always open. To become a member, email [email protected]
