Forest Academy

We want everyone to experience all the benefits of outdoor education and play no matter what your age!

In response to COVID-19 we introduced ‘Forest Academy’ for families to take part in nature themed activities at home, in their garden or in a nearby park or woodland.

Forest academy includes play, art, games, wildlife identification, den building and nature therapy and is a great way for families and friends to bond and enjoy the great outdoors.

The Nature Hub

Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund and Grow Wild we were able to revamp a disused basketball court and transform it into a thriving nature hub for families, schools and groups to use.

The nature hub consists of an outdoor classroom, hedgerow maze, playground games, pond, raised beds, recycled boat planters, treasure hunt and storytelling area. The nature hub will be central to our Forest Academy and provides a safe, secure environment for everyone.

Forest Academy Activities

  • Den building
  • Mammal tracking treasure hunt
  • The Lorax storybook trail
