FAQs

Q: Will I need to bring any equipment with me if I want to take part in watersports activities?
A: No, we have all the equipment onsite that you need. However you will need to bring the following items with you:

  • Shoes (old trainers are fine)
  • Swimming suit / shorts for underneath wetsuit
  • Towel
  • Toiletries for showering
  • Any medication that you feel you might need (e.g. inhalers etc..)
  • Waterproof sun screen (even in poor weather)

Creggan Country Park is a neutral environment and we want everyone to feel welcome - with this in mind we ask that all visitors refrain from wearing football jerseys etc.. which may cause offence.

Q: Is it possible to bring my own equipment if I want to take part in watersports activities?
A: No, for safety reasons we prefer if you use our equipment which we maintain.

Q: What activities can I take part in?
A: We have a full complement of watersports and outdoor pursuits activities on offer, with something here for every age group and ability. See below for full list of activities.

Q: Do you have a price list?
A: We can design a programme to suit your budget. Prices depend on a number of different factors including, how many people are in your group, what type of programme you would like to take part in and what type of activity you would like to take part in. Q: What courses do I need to do to become a watersports instructor?
A: There are a number of different paths to becoming a watersports instructor and each persons experience is different. There are also a number of different sports you can become proficient in. However, attached below is advice on becoming a coach  from industry body, BCU (British Canoe Union).
